The former fishing village of Vueltas is located in the sunny southwest of La Gomera and is one of the three main parts of the popular holiday resort of Valle Gran Rey.
Here you will find numerous good restaurants, shops and tour operators - the popular whale watching tours also start from the harbor. The fish restaurants in Vueltas also offer freshly caught fish. Some of the best restaurants often have no tourist advertising, but are very popular with the locals.
The Puerto de las Vueltas is the maritime centre of Valle Gran Rey and has a long history as a fishing village. Even before the advent of tourism, the port was an important part of the locals' livelihood.
The small, sheltered beach “Playa de Vueltas” is open for swimming all year round and is popular with families and locals alike.
Vueltas has a relaxed and authentic atmosphere that seems even more Gomeranian than other tourist areas.
Our tip: The traditional " Fiesta del Carmen " (every year in July) celebrate the patron saint of fishermen. This traditional fiesta is the highlight for many locals and offers you a glimpse into the local culture with processions, music, dancing and delicious mojitos. And of course this colorful fiesta takes place at the Puerto de Vueltas.

We were allowed to stay in a renovated apartment and it was perfectly equipped with everything and very, very clean.
